Easy Meal is an in-class case study aimed at designing an impactful interface specifically for the University of Arkansas campus, with the potential for broader use by college students everywhere. The Easy Meal app was developed in response to the significant issue of food insecurity on college campuses. It is designed to address and mitigate the challenges students face, including cost, time constraints, and limited cooking knowledge.
Research
According to secondary research, the area around the University of Arkansas is considered a food desert—an area lacking access to healthy foods. This is particularly problematic for students living near campus without cars. Many of these students reside along MLK Boulevard, commonly known as "fast food lane" due to the high concentration of fast food restaurants. Consequently, the food options available to University of Arkansas students in this area are predominantly unhealthy.
The survey data revealed several challenges students face regarding food insecurity and maintaining a healthy diet. These challenges include adjusting to the changes of college life, financial constraints, limited dining options beyond the dining hall, heavy academic workloads, and time constraints.

User Flow + Testing
After developing the user flow, I conducted testing with both graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Arkansas. Their valuable feedback allowed me to refine the user flows, ensuring a smoother and more intuitive application journey. With these adjustments, I am now ready to proceed to the wireframing stage.
